Slippery veteran presenter Phillip Schofield only decided to come out to the nation on Friday after his affair with a young This Morning runner was about to be exposed, it has been claimed.

Veteran host Schofield, 57 is alleged to have been in a firey affair with a young male runner called Matthew Mcgreevy who it is claimed is “furious” that Schofield had apparently ‘f*cked him over’ and was ready to go to the press thus prompting Schofield to go into damage limitation and control the narrative himself. Information about Schofields alleged affair with the young gay show runner was apparently common knowledge with ITV staff and at the BBC, a corporation still reeling from the Jimmy Saville pedophile revelations from 2011.

Matthew Mcgreevy, Phillip Schofield Lovers Bust Up
It is claimed that McGreevy who was just 18 when he met Schofield in 2004, had an unusually ‘close working-relationship’ with the 52 year old presenter but after they had a ‘lovers bust up’ the studio runner moved from This Morning to work with ITV on the show Loose Women.
An insider reported to The Daily Star Sunday: “Lots of people who work at This Morning have known Phillip is gay for a few years.”
Schofields Sexuality an Open Secret
“It was an open secret among the team but none of them would have ever said anything about it publicly,” and one source alledges that he often took young gay guys “under his wing” and became a lover and mentor to them.
One show insider said, “Phillip is a very caring guy. Over the years he has supported others who are gay and made sure they feel comfortable to be themselves. There was one runner who was struggling to deal with his sexuality and Phillip was quick to offer support and become a mentor for him.”
Initially the public were very supportive of Schofields decision to come out but opinion has begun to turn toxic as it appears that his hand was forced by uncontainable rumours and threats to go public with affairs.
Much sympathy has begun to pour in for Schofields wife who according to the Express is “shattered” that her marriage to Phillip has effectively been based upon lies.
Why even bring Jimmy Savile into this, unless you think being gay makes you a peado? Most of your articles are about paedophilia or homosexuals. Trying to deflect?

Nah. Just a comment on the salacious nature of the supposed wholesome people who appear on our TV. Schofield is a cheat, Saville was much worse obviously.

Give it time. At best PS is an enabler as he knew what his brother was doing. At worst he may well be part of it too.
Being gay doesn’t make you a pedophile but he has had access over the years, started out on kids tv, moved in some slightly suspect circles and has only come clean now before it becomes public knowledge anyway.
Time will tell, but it’s not looking good for him.

No children have been hurt to my knowledge so what is this all about. If I was Philip Scofield i would sue for damages. Salacious nature, HE WAS 35 AND THE OTHER PERSON WAS 18. An adult the last time i checked. Admittedly it is not ideal and also there is abuse of power issues. But what I think the BBC needs to do is set down some ground rules. Like a university does. He is not Jimmy Savile. Now if it turns out he preys on young runners, then okay. Not nice but they are classed as adults and a heterosexual male would probably be patted on the back, come on guys, leave it out. give the guy a break, he has not done anything illegal, maybe a bit immoral due to his wife but he says he has been honest with her, people still live together and are seperate for the family. Can we please get the BBC to set out some strong guidelines about workplace affaires and power lines. Someone should not have to come out openly just because they had an affaire. This is not news, it is tittle tattle, unless minors have been harmed and then this needs to be told to protect the innocent.

I think you will find the controversy is that him and McGreevy knew each other when he was only 15. When a man is happy to deceive his wife about an affair then how deep does that deception go? He has done this to himself, I’m sure you see that.

They are both consenting adults so leave them alone. You don’t know what you don’t know also everyone is entitled to a private life, hence the word “private”

Isn’t Schofield a celebrity and went public with it himself 🤷🏻♂️

Who actually cares? not me for one. A persons sexuality is their buisness, and people should keep their thoughts to themselves, Theres far too much poking noses into peoples private lives, they must have a very boring lives themselves!!

Hi,
I guess he was 57 when the article was written. But also the article implies he was 52 in 2004. Also in the article it says McGreevy was 18 but in the comments you say he was 15. The later is an important deatail in the story.

Schoffield is a slippery customer. He deceived his wife for decades, even had 2 children with her. If he’ll do that to the most important person in his life then what else would he lie about. Now it seems that ‘brave’ Schoffield only admitted he was a homosexual when forced to, how cowardly would that be, not brave at all.

It’s Gordon the Gopher that I feel sorry for. Bumming young men behind your wife’s back is one thing but bestiality is another thing entirely.
